Microsoft 365 Business Premium and Microsoft licensing for business

Genuine Microsoft licensing for businesses in Canada, the UK, the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar and Pakistan. We help you choose the right Microsoft 365 plans, buy them through the Microsoft CSP programme and keep every seat accounted for.

Overview

Microsoft licensing without the guesswork

Most companies we speak to are paying for Microsoft licences they do not use, or using Microsoft software they have not properly licensed. Neither is deliberate. Microsoft licensing changes often, the product names change even more often, and the person who set up the tenant five years ago has usually moved on.

We start by looking at what you have today: your Microsoft 365 subscriptions, any Windows Server and SQL Server licences, your Azure spend and who actually signs in. Then we recommend a mix of plans that fits how your people work, quote it clearly and supply genuine licences as an authorised Microsoft reseller. After that we stay on the account, so renewals, new starters and leavers never catch you out.

Whether you call it a Microsoft license or a Microsoft licence, the goal is the same: every user properly covered, nothing wasted, and a supplier who answers the phone.

Microsoft products we license:

  • Microsoft 365 Business Basic, Standard and Premium
  • Microsoft 365 E3 and E5, Office 365 E1 and E3
  • Microsoft 365 Copilot add ons
  • Azure subscriptions and reserved capacity
  • Windows Server and SQL Server per core licences
  • Exchange Online, Teams, Power BI, Project and Visio
  • Dynamics 365 business applications

What we supply

Microsoft licensing for every part of your estate

From a ten person office to a group with thousands of users, the same principles apply: right plan, right quantity, right term.

Microsoft 365 business and enterprise plans

Business plans cover up to 300 users each and suit most small and medium firms. Larger teams, or anyone needing advanced security and compliance, move to Microsoft 365 E3 or E5. We often mix both to save money.

Microsoft 365 Copilot

Copilot is an add on that sits on top of a qualifying Microsoft 365 plan. We help you pick a pilot group, measure whether it pays for itself, and then extend it only to the people who use it.

Azure under Microsoft CSP

An Azure plan bought through Microsoft CSP gives you one monthly invoice, spending alerts and access to reservations and savings plans that cut the cost of steady workloads.

Windows Server licences and CALs

Windows Server is licensed per core, with a minimum of 8 cores per processor and 16 per server, plus client access licences for the people or devices that connect. We count it properly.

SQL Server per core or server and CAL

SQL Server Standard can be licensed per core or by server plus CALs; Enterprise is per core only. Core packs come in twos, with a minimum of four per processor or virtual machine.

Power BI, Dynamics 365 and Microsoft 365 add ons

Power BI Pro and Premium Per User, Dynamics 365 apps, Project, Visio and Teams Phone are all available on the same Microsoft CSP agreement as your core plans.

Business Premium

Microsoft 365 Business Premium for companies up to 300 users

Microsoft 365 Business Premium is the plan most small and midsize companies should start with. It includes the Office apps, Exchange email, Teams and SharePoint, plus the security that cheaper plans leave out: Intune device management, Defender for Business and Entra ID P1 with conditional access.

Microsoft 365 Business Premium is available for up to 300 users. As an authorised Microsoft reseller we set it up properly, with multifactor sign in, device enrolment, data protection rules and backup, so you get the protection you pay for. Many clients move from Business Standard to Microsoft 365 Business Premium after a phishing scare, and we handle the change without downtime.

What Microsoft 365 Business Premium includes:

  • Office apps, email and Teams
  • Intune device management
  • Defender for Business
  • Entra ID P1 and conditional access
  • Up to 300 users

Saving money

Cutting the cost of Microsoft 365 without cutting corners

The fastest saving in most Microsoft 365 tenants is simply removing licences from people who have left. The second is matching the plan to the job. A warehouse worker who only needs email and Teams on a phone does not need the same plan as a finance manager who lives in Excel all day.

We also check for duplicate spending. It is common to find a company paying for a separate security tool, a separate backup tool and a separate video calling service while its Microsoft 365 plan already includes something similar. Sometimes the standalone tool is better and worth keeping; sometimes it is not. Either way, you should decide knowingly.

What we usually find in a first review:

  • Licences still assigned to former staff
  • Premium plans given to users who only need email
  • Shared mailboxes that do not need a licence at all
  • Monthly terms that should be annual
  • Azure virtual machines running all night for no reason

Compliance

Staying compliant with Windows Server and SQL Server rules

Cloud subscriptions are easy to count. Servers are not. Windows Server and SQL Server licensing depends on physical cores, virtual machines, client access licences and whether you hold Software Assurance. A small mistake, repeated across a few hosts, can become a large bill if Microsoft or one of its auditors asks for a review.

We document what you run and what you own, close any gaps before anyone else finds them, and keep the record up to date. If you are moving servers to Azure, we check whether Azure Hybrid Benefit lets you reuse licences you already own, which can lower the running cost considerably. Microsoft explains the programmes on its official Microsoft licensing site, and we are happy to walk through them with you.

Why ApexGenTech

Why buy Microsoft licensing from a software house

We are not just a reseller with a price list. We build software, integrate systems and run support for our own clients, so we understand how licences are used day to day. That matters when you are deciding whether Copilot is worth it, how to secure Microsoft 365 properly or how to move an old file server to SharePoint.

If you need more than licences, the same team can help. Our cybersecurity services review how your Microsoft 365 tenant is configured, our support plans cover day to day administration, and our AI integration work helps you put Copilot to real use. You can also track every licence and renewal date in the Nexora asset register.

FAQ

Microsoft 365 Business Premium FAQs

Is ApexGenTech able to supply genuine Microsoft licensing?

Yes. We supply genuine Microsoft licences as an authorised Microsoft reseller, mainly through the Microsoft CSP programme, and set them up in your own tenant so you keep full control.

Which Microsoft 365 plan is right for my company?

For up to 300 users, Microsoft 365 Business Standard suits most office staff and Business Premium adds stronger security. Above 300 users, or with strict compliance needs, Microsoft 365 E3 or E5 is usually the better fit. We often recommend a mix.

Can I reduce my Microsoft 365 licences part way through the year?

On an annual Microsoft CSP term you can add licences at any time, but reductions take effect at renewal. A monthly term lets you reduce each month, at a higher price per user.

Do you supply Copilot for Microsoft 365?

Yes. Microsoft 365 Copilot is an add on to a qualifying Microsoft 365 plan. We usually suggest a small pilot first so you can see the benefit before buying more.

How is Windows Server licensed?

Windows Server is licensed per physical core, with at least 8 cores per processor and 16 per server, plus client access licences for users or devices. Standard edition covers two virtual machines; Datacenter covers unlimited virtual machines on that host.

Do you provide Microsoft licensing in Saudi Arabia and Qatar?

Yes. Along with Canada, the UK, the UAE and Pakistan, we supply Microsoft licensing to companies in Saudi Arabia and Qatar, with quotes prepared for local billing.

Is Microsoft 365 Business Premium worth it over Business Standard?

For most companies, yes. Microsoft 365 Business Premium adds Intune, Defender for Business and conditional access, which close the gaps attackers use most. If you would otherwise buy device management and endpoint protection separately, Microsoft 365 Business Premium usually costs less overall.

Can we mix Microsoft 365 Business Premium with other plans?

Yes. Many companies give Microsoft 365 Business Premium to office staff and a Basic or Frontline plan to others, as long as Business plan users stay within 300. We size the mix with you so nobody pays for features they do not use.

How do you set up Microsoft 365 Business Premium security?

We switch on multifactor sign in, enrol devices in Intune, apply Defender for Business policies and set conditional access rules, then test them with your team. Microsoft 365 Business Premium only protects you once these settings are on.
